Anne-Marie Pienaar Braved a Bathing Suit because of Banting
Anne-Marie is a passionate Banter, whose life changed when she was confronted with the daunting task of wearing a bathing suit in public. We all know how it feels when summer comes, and you aren’t “beach ready.” Sometimes like with Anne-Marie it’s this simple realisation that leads you to want to get into shape. But, it’s difficult to start, and even more difficult to do alone!
Anne-Marie is a Real Meal Revolution trained Certified Banting Coach (CBC) and by joining one of her real groups, you will no longer have to Bant alone! These “Real Groups” are Banting support groups that are available both online and face-to-face.
Anne-Marie offers up some “banter” on her personal Banting journey:
“My Banting journey began when I visited my parents in Kwazulu Natal (KZN). I knew I would have to go to the beach, but I was nowhere near ready to wear a bathing suit in front of everyone. I was too ashamed to get myself into one, because of my size. On top of my insecurities with my weight, I always felt tired, and my body ached. Because of this, I didn’t do much as I didn’t have the energy. On our way back from KZN my sister said to me that she felt that she needed to lose weight. She mentioned she was going to try Banting. This intrigued me, and I decided to try it as well and I have never looked back.
“Since I started Banting I feel so much better. I have lost over 8kgs (from 81kgs-72.8kgs). I was amazed that the weight loss happened so fast! It is the first time in a long time that I feel so great. People have started complimenting me on how good I look. Other than that I feel on top of the world because I know this year I WILL reach my goal weight! Nothing is going to stop me.”
“I aim to inspire other Banters through my own experience. My unique take is that I believe in rewards and recognition. I will spoil my Real Group members with small gifts when they reach their goals. This will help to motivate them to do even better. I want my members to trust me, and to know that I only want the best for them. I want them to feel that they are there “to be part of the change they want to see in the world.”
Poor body image is a problem that so many people face. With the help of Anne-Marie and her Real Group, you can get the support and guidance you need to take control of your weight and overcome these insecurities.
