Jaime’s Beef and Feta Banting Burger

Jaime loves this beef and feta burger. It’s a firm weekend favourite after his baseball game.

Preparation time: 5 - 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20 - 30 minutes

Serves: 4


  1. Mix all the ingredients together
  2. Divide mixture into four or more burger patties (depending on the size you want)
  3. Gently fry patties in a little coconut oil
  4. Place a cooked burger patty on top of a slice of tomato, a few gherkin slices and then top with onions sautéed in coconut oil
  5. Serve with a green salad

  • 500g beef mince
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 75g feta, crumbled
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Handful fresh mint and basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh chilli, chopped
  • Freshly ground black pepper and sea salt to taste
  • Coconut oil for cooking
  • Burger garnish:
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 gherkins, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced and sauteed in coconut oil
