You may have heard that the business contract between Real Meal Revolution and The Noakes Foundation is coming to an end. This came about because RMR was unable to sustain the growth ambitions of TNF and TNF was unable to offer brand support without inhibiting their ability to raise independent funding.
What is most important to note is that with the end of the contract, the intellectual relationship and general friendship is now stronger than ever. In particular, I, Jonno Proudfoot, CEO of RMR, treasure my personal relationship with Tim. He was, is, and always will be, the originator of the movement and I know he appreciates the drive I have brought to build this into the Real Meal Revolution.
It was our joint wish to communicate the termination of our commercial contract once all the i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed. Obviously the cat is out the bag as a result of a conversation on twitter, reproduced here below. See also further tweets from Prof that reaffirm the strong bond and history we share.
Prof’s hearing at the hands of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) begins on Monday and I want to personally take this opportunity to wish Prof the very best in the battle that he is fighting on behalf of all of us. We fully expect him to win and will be cheering him all the way to the finish line.
Meantime, operations at RMR remain unchanged. Our meal plans, video content, tracking tools, recipes and more, uphold the highest LCHF nutritional standards. All our content is approved by Bridget Surtees (amongst numerous other experts), co-author with Prof and me, of Raising Superheroes.
While Prof’s lectures will stay available to users of our online program, his face will no longer be seen in promo videos as he moves to a more academic and less commercial role in his semi-retirement.
This will most likely provide Prof with the privacy he needs to get on with life after the trial and give him space to support the TNF team as they develop their enterprise outside of the wings of RMR.
RMR is producing tons of data with your, and your members’, help and we are sure Prof is as keen as we are to turn this into valuable research papers to support the LCHF revolution. Likewise, TNF is still here to support coaches who have signed up to be EBSA change agents.
In closing, it is important to note that philosophically, our ideals are much the same and we are striving to reverse the obesity and type 2 diabetes epidemics.
RMR is still out to change 100 million lives by 2025, and there is nothing on earth that can stand in our way.
Thank you, Prof!
